PCWorld reports that TP-Link has unveiled its first Wi-Fi 8 products, the Archer 8 Ultra router and Deco 8 Ultra mesh system, promising speeds up to 19 Gbps and 22 Gbps respectively. Wi-Fi 8 focuses on Ultra High Reliability, with TP-Link's new StabilityEngine technology designed to manage multiple devices and reduce interference for fewer dropped connections. Pre-orders for the Archer 8 Ultra are expected to begin September 30th, positioning TP-Link as an early leader in next-generation home networking. Ahead of the IFA 2026 tech trade fair in Berlin, TP-Link has unveiled the first products in its all-new Wi-Fi 8 lineup, including the Archer 8 Ultra router and the Deco 8 Ultra mesh system, both of which are based on the IEEE 802.11bn standard (also known as UHR or Wi-Fi 8). Unlike previous Wi-Fi generations, which focused on increasing top data transfer speeds, Wi-Fi 8 is mainly designed to improve stability for more consistent connections. Hence, it being called UHR (Ultra High Reliability). With these products, TP-Link combines the Wi-Fi 8 standard with its own StabilityEngine, which uses several technologies to improve range, reduce interference, and manage multiple devices simultaneously.
